Yamim Noraim @CNSS – so much going on for all ages

Our services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur will have something for everyone.

We start with our late night Selichot service, once again held jointly with Barnet Synagogue on Saturday 16 September: tea 10.30pm, address by Rabbi Lerer 11.15pm, Service led by Rabbi Epstein 11.30pm

Throughout the Yamim Noraim we are delighted to welcome our intern rabbi this year, Rabbi Moshe Vecht, together with Naama his wife. They will be speaking at Old Farm Avenue, leading Youth services and discussion groups with our Youth Director Alex Fenton and speaking at the Cockfosters parallel service.

There will also be NOSH services for children age 0-5 and  their parents and BIG NOSH services for children age 6-11, both at Old Farm Avenue.

In addition, there will be a series of talks with the title ‘Engaging with our Heritage’ in both Old Farm Avenue and Cockfosters, by Rebbetzen Ilana and Rabbi Vecht, as well as a TalkBack session with Ivan Cohen on Yom Kippur.

Together with Rabbi Epstein’s explanations throughout the services, providing perspectives and structure to our liturgy, we are sure that this year, our High Holiday services will be even more meaningful.
